Multi-Option Wireless Solar Powered Surveillance CCTV camera System options

WECU Surveillance.com and our award winning Design and Solution based Video and Access Control Engineers, have designed two categories of "Turnkey" Solar Powered Wireless Camera Systems.

2. PTZ (Pan/Tilt/Zoom) Camera System

The majority of the Multi-Option Turnkey system is pre-designed and built yet WECU Surveillance offers several options allowing the user to fine tune the system to his/her needs. Should the user requirements fall outside one of the turnkey system design, WECU Surveillance's design and engineering team is fully capable of analyzing the user requirements through telephone consultation, emails and/or site visit. The details gathered in the analysis stage will be used to designing and engineering a solution to fit the user specific needs no matter how exotic or mundane. Systems can range from one to thousands of cameras spread over thousands of miles with tower heights up to 180 feet and lens options up to 2000mm.

The Multi-Option Turnkey systems offer the following options:

Fixed IP Camera Description:

WECU Surveillance's Fixed IP Network cameras are uniquely suited for solar powered wireless camera systems.

1. They use Embedded Linux OS which is completely independent of PC platform making them more stable and reliable.
2. They use the latest Texas Instruments DaVinci Chip and a highly efficient and effective H.264 video compress algorithm. High quality images, small file sizes for more effective wireless transmissions.
3. They are low power reducing the solar system requirements.

Users should select a lens that will provide the appropriate and required field of view. Ideally select the longest zoom lens possible and position the Solar Power Wireless Camera system further away from the target of view. Higher zoom settings have a greater depth of view.

PTZ Camera Options

WECU Surveillance has selected a short list of it most popular PTZ cameras. The range is from low cost (Low Speed, low zoom), to high cost (High speed, high zoom with integrated Infrared Illuminators and Wiper).

Users are advised to select the highest zoom model to provide the highest capability. See the zoom table above for PTZ zoom information.

ROI (Return on Investment) – The Higher cost IR PTZ cameras 26x Zoom and 36x Zoom offer several functions that will provide ROI.


1. Wiper – The lens for all cameras will get dirty and will require periodic cleaning. These models of cameras have a wiper, so the lens can be cleaned as often as you wish and without having an employee visit the cameras. The ROI is shorter in dusty, windy, or remote locations.
2. IR Illuminators – There is an extra cost to the IR illuminators, but they will provide a 200 meter diameter circle where no separate ambient lighting is required

The ROI is shorter if ambient lighting would have to be solar powered as well.

PTZ Cameras will be connected to the Wireless Radio via WECU Surveillance's Novo Mini IP encoder (Stock Code: 100220, NOVO Mini). IP Wireless Radios

900 MHz frequency is in the un-licensed frequency band and meets FCC regulations and offers the highest resilience to interference from physical barriers.

Factors to consider when selecting the antenna set:
1. Clear line of sight or trees (See table below)
2. Range (if the range is greater then 40 miles, repeaters can be utilized)
Range

The range between radios, where a quality link can establish, is determined a few factors:
1. The Antenna
2. Physical Obstacles (Buildings, Hills, Trees, etc)

If there is not a clear line of sight, contact us for details on the capabilities of wireless radios. The 900 MHz radio has 12 channels non-overlapping channels to accommodate 12 cameras. If more cameras are required, contact us for custom solution details.

900 MHz Radio Features:

Wireless Radio Receiver at the users monitoring / receiving location. The Radio and Antenna are NEMA 4X rated for outdoor installation. The user will be required to provide Outdoor rated CAT5 from the PoE Injector, which needs to be mounted indoors, to the radio. RJ45 connectors are required on the ends of the CAT5 cable.

Solar Systems

Solar Systems power the electronics by converting solar energy into electrical energy in a process called photovoltaics (PV for short). Every place on earth has been analyzed for its photovoltaic conversion ability and given a rating. The rating is stated in hours per day of charging by the sun. WECU Surveillance offers 4 pre-configured solar systems based on 4 solar ratings. The pre-configured solar systems will provide the required energy to the majority of the world's population. However we can accommodate anything required.

The 4 solar systems are rated as:
1. 2.0+ hours
2. 3.0+ hours
3. 4.0+ hours
4. 5.5+ hours

The cost of solar systems increases with a lower solar rating, therefore Northern locations will require solar systems designed for locations with less sun and more solar panels resulting in a higher cost. The 5.5+ hour system is the lowest cost and the 2.0+ hour solar system is the highest cost.

System Mounting - Towers

WECU Surveillance utilizes triangular towers to support the Multi-Option Turnkey Wireless Solar Powered Surveillance Camera Systems and all its components. The Multi-Option Turnkey systems offer 3 tower heights increasing in 6 foot sections:


1. 6 foot (palletized for quick deployment)
2. 12 foot
3. 18 foot

Triangular Tower Advantages over Aluminum poles are:


1. Triangular towers are available up to 180 feet without the need of guy wires
2. Triangular Towers offer much higher load bearing capabilities
3. Triangular Towers offer an exponentially greater degree of stability over poles. Poles are designed to flex and sway in the wind, Triangular Towers are rigid. The video image would be useless if the pole was to sway even 1-2 inches in the wind.
4. Triangular Towers are climbable for easy maintenance without a bucket truck or ladder, (Optional anti-climb accessories available)
