Quick Q & A
Q. I am getting a 40 VA power reading from the video output from the CD56NV-IR, what is going on and how do I stop this from happening?
A. This is common on vehicular mounted applications when the shock mount base is not used, the camera is grounding out on the vehicle, please order the shock mount base and this will solve the issue.
Q. Do I need the shock mount base?
A. It is highly recommend that you use the shock mount base on vehicular applications, the shock mount base serves 2 purposes, the first is it stops the vibration from the vehicle entering into the camera and secondly it stops the camera from being grounded on the vehicle, the shock mount base will extend the life of the CD56NV-IR PTZ camera considerably.
