The CD52W camera is ready to go right out of the box and is set to Pelco D protocol 2400 baud, camera setting #1, see the users manual for more information on setting up the protocol and baud rate. If you do not have a compatible controller or a controlling device which does not have a "Call preset Function" button, you will not be able to set up the CD52W's functions, if this is the case please use our joystick controller for correct operation of the CD52W.

Q: How do I set the protocol and baud rate of the CD52W?

A: First unscrew the dome bubble, then take the small black cover off that surronds the camera block, there are 4 screws holding it on, make sure you note the way it goes on. The DIP switches are on the side of the camera block. The small DIP switches (6 DIP switch) are for setting the Protocol (factory setting is Pelco-D), the large DIP switch (10 DIP switch) is for the PTZ address (factory setting PTZ adddress: 1), please download the user's manual (link provided above), page #3 for more information on correct DIP switch settings and location of DIP switches for your CD52W camera.
